HONOLULU (AP) — Two Roosevelt High School violinists were selected for a prestigious program at Carnegie Hall.

The state Department of Education said Jamie Labrador and Sarah Wilson were the only students selected from Hawaii.

The seniors will join more than 500 high school musicians from across the country for the program in February in New York City.

Through the Honors Performance Series, they’ll get a chance to rehearse under master conductors and perform before an audience of representatives from collegiate and professional musical programs.
