Bella Fernandez scored 10 points Wednesday night in Kapaau, and Honokaa powered past Kohala 49-28 in a BIIF Division II girls basketball game.

The Dragons (4-1) took control early, jumping out to a 15-3 first quarter lead to remain in a first-place tie.

The Cowgirls (3-3) have lost three in row. Kiana Kauka scored 10 points.

Kamehameha 51, Kealakehe 17: Jordyn Mantz led Warriors (4-1) with 14 points in Keaau and Dominique Pacheco contributed 11.

Sira-Claire Hauanio paced the Waveriders (0-3).

Kamehameha led 41-5 at halftime.

Hilo 64, Pahoa 17: Mandi Kawaha made three 3-pointers en route to 15 points, and Tatiana Rideout also had 15 for the visiting Vikings, who didn’t allow more than seven points in a quarter.

Mele Vaka chipped in with 14 for Hilo (4-1), which led 55-11 after outscoring the Daggers 19-1 in the third quarter.

Alyssa Padilla and Nanea Kaawaloa each hit two 3-pointers and scored six for Pahoa (1-5).

Konawaena 67, Hawaii Prep 14: Mikayla Tablit and Cherilyn Molina scored 19 points apiece in Waimea for the Wildcats (5-0), who raced out to 39-8 halftime lead, never allowing Ka Makani to surpass six points in a quarter.

Megan Jarrell and Coco Shafer each scored seven for HPA (0-5).
