Police seize over 107 grams of fentanyl in March

During the month of March, Hawaii Police Department reports a total of seven fentanyl-related arrests, six in East Hawaii and one in West Hawaii.

Officers confiscated a total of 107.18 grams of fentanyl last month, 100.58 grams in East Hawaii and 6.6 grams in West Hawaii.

According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, just two milligrams of illicit fentanyl, equal to a couple grains of salt, is a lethal dose.

In the first three months of 2024, the Hawaii Police Department recovered a total of 297.91 grams of fentanyl.

Police also seized a total of 278 fentanyl pills, with 278 pills, all in East Hawaii.
