Lourisla Kauanoe, 69, of Kapaau died Jan. 11 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. She was born in Honolulu. Visitation 9:30-10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Kalahikiola Church. Services 10-11:30 a.m. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Allen P. Kauanoe Sr.; daughters, Kimberly Kauanoe and January Kauanoe; sons, Allen and Johnpatrick Kauanoe; sisters, Gwendolyn Wallace, Barbara Jean Karatti, Zariai (Peter) Kaheaku and Naomi Thornton; brothers, Charles Karatti, Richard (Cindy) Karatti and Rialrome (Anu) Thornton; five grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Maxine Sylvia “Maggie” Nakamura, 86, of Hilo died Nov. 3 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa. She was born in Laupahoehoe. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Eulogy at 9:30 a.m. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at a later date. Survived by son, Frederick “Rick” Nakamura II, hanai son, Edward Souza; daughters, Michelle “Shelly” Nakamura and Joelle (Guy) Salas; brother, Lawrence “Larry” (Carol) Ignacio; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Mabel C. Pacleb, 89, of Hilo died Jan, 12 at home. Born on Kauai, she was a homemaker. Private services held. Survived by children, Jack (Jodie) Pacleb of Hilo, Kent (Bridget) Pacleb of Kauai, Arthur Pacleb and Sandra (Ray) Craddick of Hilo, Larson Pacleb of Honolulu, Laurie (Shawn) Perez of Dickinson, Texas, and Crystal Hostelley of Higlands Ranch, Colo.; sisters in-law, Minerva (Joe) Moore of Columbia, Tenn., Rose Carcueva of Honolulu, Lilia Carcueva of Kapaa, Kauai, Janet Poe of North Carolina and Loretta Elliott of California; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
