Noli Dela Merced Acol, 59, of Keaau, died Dec. 19 in Hilo. Born in the Philippines, he worked as a Department of Transportation bus driver. Celebration of life to be held 1 p.m. Jan. 27 at Zion’s House of Praise Holiness Church. Survived by wife Sandra M. Talbert-Acol, son Isaiah A. J. Acol, fiance Robin A. Travis, daughter Sharay (Edward Patton) Acol, and numerous grandchildren, aunties, uncles and cousins. Arrangements by Homelani Memorial Park.

Fujiko Akamatsu, 104, of Kealakekua, died Jan. 8 in Kailua-Kona. She was a former cashier at Oshima Store, a retired kitchen worker at the Kona Community Hospital, and a member of the Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo, where visitation will be held 10 a.m. Feb. 10, with funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Survived by daughters Mildred (Stanley) Tromberg of Plantation, Fla., Linda (Samuel) Camp of Honolulu, Phyllis (Solomon) Alani of Ho‘okena; son-in-law Rex Bennett of Las Vegas, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gary Lee Delos Santos, Sr., 76, of Naalehu, died Nov. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ka‘u, he was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a retired custodian for Naalehu Elementary School. Celebration of life to be held 11 a.m. Feb. 10 at Naalehu Community Center. Survived by sons Gary “Gary Boy” (Christine Haalilio) Delos Santos Jr. and Michael “Mikey” (Kalei Martinez) Delos Santos; hanai daughters Bobbi-Jo (Jurgen) Meier, Roilynn (Jacob) Kamp, Chrisandra (Jamie) Javar, Meiling (Lyle) Matthews and Zara (Sam) Akea; hanai son Jonathan (Desiree Galanto) James; sisters Pearl “Nani” Mokuhali‘i and Brenda (Ren) Walker; sister-in-law Annie Delos Santos; nine grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous hanai grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. William “Billy” Kaleionehu Ma‘e, 90, of Keaau, died Dec. 1 at home. Born in Papaaloa, he served in the Hawaii Army National Guard for 25 years and worked for Jas. W. Glover, Ltd. Visitation to be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 2 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, with funeral service at 10 a.m., to be followed by a full military honor ceremony and burial at 11:30 a.m. at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 pavilion. Isabella “Honey Girl” Leilani Martinez-Cebreros Ha‘o, 53, of Ocean View, died Jan. 3 at home. Born in Kealakekua, she was a manager at Four Seasons Hualalai Resort.
