Clinton “Toodie” Domen, 63, of Keaau, died Oct. 30. Born in Honolulu, he worked at Orchids of Hawaii. Services to be announced at a later date. Survived by wife Raenette Domen; sons Clinton, Bronson and Bryson Domen; daughter Britney Domen; granddaughter Aria Domen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary.

Samuel Hans Taka, 87, of Hilo, died Oct. 26 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired rancher and farmer. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. Nov. 20 at Hilo Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with funeral service at 11 a.m. and burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Preceded in death by daughter Sandra Medeiros and son Sherwin Taka. Survived by wife Sylvia Taka of Hilo; son Stuart Taka of Honolulu; sister Victoria (Dr. Vernon) Chan of California; sisters-in-law Eloise Farr of Hilo, Elaine Ugalde of Nevada and Geraldine Embernate of Hilo; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Russell Kamali‘i Tam, 60, of Hilo, died at Home in Kahaluu. He was a former Isemoto Contracting Company employee and a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union. Celebration of life to be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 12 at Aunty Sally’s Luau Hale in Hilo. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a service and luau. Casual attire. Daniel Kalalau Kawaiaea, Sr., 92, of Hilo, died Oct. 6 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired plumber for the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Visitation to be held 9-9:45 a.m. Nov. 12 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, with procession at 9:45 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. Burial service at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 Pavilion. Florence “Flo” T. Lee, 95, of Hilo, died Oct. 24 at Hale Anuenue Care Center. Born in Kahuku, she was a full-time volunteer for the Jehovah’s Witnesses. No services. Survived by sons Kelvin K. W.
