Born in Hilo, she was a kumu and bus driver at Kealakehe Elementary School, volunteer chaplain at the Kona Community Hospital, and volunteered at senior homes by singing for and talking with patients. George Hideo Miyashiro, 76, of Honolulu. died June 30. Born in Hawaii, he was retired from Roberts Hawaii, was the operator of Jack’s Tours on the Big Island until 1999 and a U.S. Army veteran.
