Clementine Hokuloa Boyes, 78, of Kailua-Kona died June 20 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a kumu and bus driver at Kealakehe Elementary School, volunteer chaplain at the Kona Community Hospital, and volunteered at senior homes by singing for and talking with patients. Celebration of life 4 p.m. Sunday, July 23, on the Bayside Lawn at Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa, 78-128 Ehukai St. in Keauhou. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Lynn Boyes; son, Jonathan (Rae) Boyes of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Carolynn (Nicolas) Cardenas of California and Kristina Boyes of Kailua-Kona; stepfather, David Calles Sr. of Hilo; sisters, Leilani Southward of Hilo, April (Ron) Supalo of Illinous, Louise (Neil) Tarr of Utah and Darlene (Amanda) Christian of Hilo; brother, David (Claudia) Calles of Hilo; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. George Hideo Miyashiro, 76, of Honolulu. died June 30. Born in Hawaii, he was retired from Roberts Hawaii, was the operator of Jack’s Tours on the Big Island until 1999 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 21, at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary, East Chapel, in Honolulu. Service at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Survived by wife, Susana Urica Albasin Miyashiro; sons, Jeffrey Miyashiro and Troy Miyashiro; stepsons, Nick (Roxanne) Aiona Aka and Neilson Aiona Aka; stepdaughters; Kimmy Alegarbes, Kristina Cassandra Gonzales, Carmina Umali and Khlarisse Ramos; sisters, Clara Ching and Ellen Miyashiro; brother Raymond Miyashiro; three grandchildren. Michael Joseph Shadoan, 67, of Mountain View died June 28 at home. Born in Cocoa Beach, Fla., he was an oil well driller, logger and woodsman in Wyoming and a U.S. Navy Vietnam War era veteran. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by siblings, Bruce Shadoan, Rocky Shadoan, Kelly Pawers, Paige Newhouse and Tracey Cannon; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
