Beverly Puaokeko‘olau Doi, 80, of Keaukaha died May 19 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired private caregiver and member of the Hawaiian Bowling Club, Wikiwiki Golf Club, Keaukaha Canoe Club and Leialoha’s Softball Team. Michiyo Ishiyama, 92, of Hilo died May 20 at home. Born in Mountain View, she was a retired field services technician for the Hawaii Government Employees Association. Private services held. William J. Keb, 86, of Honokaa died Feb. 23 at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. Born in Honolulu, he was a local woodworker, proprietor of Kamaaina Wood Inc. and U.S. Army veteran. Remembrance service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. Survived by wife, Lois J. Fusao Sugai, 89, of Honalo died May 22 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honalo, he was a retired coffee, macadamia nut and vegetable farmer and a member of Honalo No. 1 Kumiai, Daifukuji Soto Mission, Big Island National Guard Retirees Association, Hiroshima Kenjinkai, Kona Young Farmers, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7, and a retired U.S. Army combat veteran. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Sunday, June 18, at Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Hilda (Omoto) Sugai of Honalo; sons, Wesley (Patricia) Sugai and Lee (Mimi) Sugai of Kona; daughter, Kellie (Curtis) Sugai-Dahl of Kona; sister, Misao (Seiji) Yonemori of Hilo; six grandchildren and two great grandchldren; nieces and nephews.
