Sylvester Keali‘iho‘omanawanui Apiki Pauelua, 82, of Pahoa died Nov. 5, 2022. Leatrice “Aunty Lea” Reiko Yokoyama, 86, of Hilo, died March 30. Born in Hilo, she earned a college degree in business and managed S. Yokoyama Inc., which included Kamuela Deli, Freddy’s, Manono Mini Mart and Kawailani Mart, was a retired instructor at Hawaii Community College, taught at Ka‘u and Hilo High, and was an athlete.
