The Hilo Woman’s Club is once again hosting its popular Wine & Cheese Tasting/Silent Auction fundraising event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the clubhouse located at 7 Lele Drive in Hilo.
Wines will be provided by Courtney Hurt of Hilo Bottle Shop, and there will be various cheeses and pupus to enhance the experience. Matty Wong will be providing musical entertainment.
The silent auction will offer various items donated by generous community establishments and club members. Proceeds from this event will support the club’s Scholarship Program and other community-building efforts.
Tickets are available for $40 and can be obtained at the event, but seating is limited. To purchase tickets in advance or for more information, call Beverly Heikes at (808) 935-9838.
The Hilo Woman’s Club began in January 1921. For more than 100 years, dedicated women have spearheaded various educational, social, and civic development projects for the Hilo area.
