Aileen Bernice Calamayan, 77, of Keaau and Kailua-Kona died Feb. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a self-employed papaya grower and papaya packer for the former Amfac Puna Papaya Processing Co. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at the chapel. Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Survived by husband, Esteban Calamayan of Keaau and Kailua-Kona; children, Rodrigo (Minda) Calamayan, Flordeliza (Paul) Fassoth and Noralyn (Wayne Obedoza) of Kona, Ruben Calamayan, Fernando (Felipa) Calamayan, Antonio (Tessie) Calamayan, Rowena (Duane) Serrao and Nelly Calamayan of Keaau; brother, Dominador (Humi) Ulep of Waianae, Oahu; sisters, Lolita (John) Ramos and Emilia (Artemio) Sibucao of Pahoa; sisters-in-law, Marlene Ulep and Vicky Ulep of Keaau, Angelita Ulep of Waimanalo, Oahu, and Lorraine Ulep of Haliewa, Oahu; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Richard Melvin Green Jr., 65, of Ocean View died Jan. 30 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Hollywood, Calif., he was the owner of Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors, a Red Cross certified lifeguard, wind turbine technician, carpenter, lineman and U.S. Army veteran. Services at a later date. Survived by wife, Barbara Green of Ocean View; daughters, Tifani Stegehuis of Kailua-Kona and Nani Green of Ocean View; son, Jacob Green of Kailua-Kona; mother, Gai Getchuis of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Michael (Sheryl) Green of Oregon and Edward Koga of Kailua-Kona; sister, Jamie Green of California; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Reynold Hideo Ichiriu, 99, of Keaau died Feb. 23 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired machinist for the City and County of Honolulu Wastewater Division and member of Kurtistown Jodo Mission. Private services held. No koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Alan Ichiriu of Los Angeles; daughters, Dayle (Alfred) Tsuha of Kurtistown and Teri (Myles Ibara) Ichiriu of Honolulu; sister, Frances I. Margaret H. Maeda, 94, of Hilo died March 1 at home. Born in Hilo, she and was a retired clerk-typist for the Hilo office of the state Department of Health and member of Church of the Holy Cross. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 1, at Church of the Holy Cross. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Non-family members are requested to text (808) 339-1815 with number of persons attending. Andres “Andy” R. Subeldia, 92, of Keaau died Nov. 29. He was born in Waialua, Oahu. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Thursday (Mar. 16) at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel on Oahu. Service at 11 a.m. Survived by daughters, Stacie (Robert) Harrington, Mona Subeldia and Christie (Elson) Manuel; sister, Dolores (Dolly) Bolosan; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family. Roger Webb, 79, of Hawaii Island died March 3. No known family. Survivors are asked to call Hilo Medical Center at (808) 932-3500, option 4.
