Richard Melvin Green Jr., 65, of Ocean View died Jan. 30 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Hollywood, Calif., he was the owner of Hawaii Lifeguard Surf Instructors, a Red Cross certified lifeguard, wind turbine technician, carpenter, lineman and U.S. Army veteran. Reynold Hideo Ichiriu, 99, of Keaau died Feb. 23 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo.
