Leslie “Dodo” Capilla, 94, of Honokaa, formerly of San Jose, Calif., died Feb. 5 in Honokaa. Born in California and raised in Kailua, Oahu, he was a retired as a transporter at Los Gatos Community Hospital in California and previously worked for his grandfather’s former dairy, Campus Dairy. Reginald “Reggie” Elvenia, 72, of Hilo died Jan. 17 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired senior cargo agent for the former Aloha Airlines and Aloha Air Cargo, graduate of St. Joseph School Class of 1968 and member of Aloha Airlines Golf Club. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Clifford Wayne Freitas, 71, of Honolulu died Nov. 10. He was born in Ka‘u. Visitation 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Tara Joy Mandaloniz, 45, of Las Vegas, formerly of Hilo, died Dec. 18, at home. Born in Hilo, she was a kindergarten teacher at Sunshine Acres Elementary School in Las Vegas, and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and St. Joseph High School. Visitation 10-10:30 am. Saturday, March 4, at Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Parish Hall, at 27-186 Kaapoko Homestead Rd. in Papaikou. Celebration of life service at 10:30 a.m., with light refreshments to follow. Survived by mother, Sonia Mandaloniz; brothers, Reuben (Linda) Mandaloniz of Las Angeles and Troy (Adria) Mandaloniz of Honomu; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Susan Jean Poai, 72, of Hilo died Jan. 17 at home. Born in San Francisco, she was a retired registered nurse for Hilo Medical Center and member of St. Robert’s Catholic Church.
