Marie B. Abril, 86, of Holualoa died Sept. 15 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, she worked at Kona Hongwanji Preschool and Bay View Farms, was an avid traveler and member of St Benedict’s Painted Church and Ilocano Ancestry Club. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at St. Benedict’s Painted Church in Honaunau. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Survived by her sons, Walter Amarino Jr. and Robin (Myrna) Amarino of Holualoa; daughter, Terrie (Lloyd) Tanaka of Kealakekua; hanai daughter, Joanie (Brian) Dalton of San Diego; brothers, Alfonso Abril of Honolulu and John (Judy) Abril of Middle Keei; sisters, Marcy Akao of Hilo, Victoria (Tom) Yanagawa of Kailua-Kona, Dora Starr of Hernando, Fla., Mary Bentley of Las Vegas, Monica (Richard) Layman of Honolulu, Candida Abril and Pauline (Steve) Butters of Kailua-Kona; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Jose Jesus Agunoy Duldulao, 73, of Pahoa died Nov. 21. Born in Laoag City, Philippines, he worked for a plant nursery and was a member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dolores “Dolly” Pacheco, 82, of Las Vegas died Nov. 23 at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas. She was born in Opihikao. Services held in Las Vegas. Roxanna Lea Strohl, 63, of Ocean View died Dec. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in DeKalb County, Ind., she was a sales representative and cashier for Office Depot. No services. Milton Hideo Yafuso, 74, of Hilo died Nov. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was the retired office manager for the former Yafuso TV Appliance, member of Hui Okinawa, Hui Okinawa Kobudo Taiko, Exchange Club of Hilo and a U.S. Army veteran. Private services held. Survived by wife, Margaret Yafuso of Hilo; daughters, Christine (Mark) Yamamoto of Hilo and Marlene (Benjamin) Bultman of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers, Clyde Yafuso and Glenn (Joycelyn) Yafuso of Hilo; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
