Anthony Akiona, 83, of Kealakekua died Sept. 21 at Kona Community Hospital. He was a retired cook. Services at a later date. Survived by sons, Michael (Shorene) Akiona and Russell (Deborah) Akiona of Ocean View, Terry Akiona of Farmersville, Calif..; daughters, Redona Gilbert of Missouri and Teresa (Danny) Gonzales of Farmersville, GA.; brother, Fred Sonoria of Hilo and Rogelio (Teri) Billaber of Arizona.; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Milagrosa Quero Conol, 73, of Hilo died Nov. 8 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Olaa, she was retired from the state Judiciary. Private services held. Survived by husband, Carl Conol of Hilo; son, Jeremy (Lorna) Conol of Hilo; daughter, Jessica Conol of Hilo; brothers, Reuben Quero and Eldon Quero of Keaau; three grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Cirilo Antonio Lorenzo, 101, of Holualoa died Nov. 7 at home. Born in Laoag City, Philippines, he was a maintenance man at Kona Country Club and member of Ilocano Ancestry Club. Visitation 9:30-10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Lifewater Church in Kealakekua. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Benjamin Delos Santos, 80, of Waimea died Nov. 11 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a tree trimmer and treatment plant/pump station maintenance worker for the City and County of Honolulu, ranch hand and truck driver for Parker Ranch, chef at the Royal Waikoloan, truck driver for numerous trucking companies on the Big Island and Kauai, president of the Kona Bowling Association and board member of the State of Hawaii Bowling Association, red and black belt Kajukenbo professor and member of Waimea Annunciation Catholic Church. Visitation 7:30-9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea. Mass at 9 a.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
