UPDATE: Kainoha Nowell has been located in good health in Hilo. The Hawaii Police Department thanks the public for its assistance.

PREVIOUSLY:

Police are asking the public for leads in locating a 10-year-old boy missing since about 10:30 a.m. today.

Kainoha Nowell is described as 4-feet-4-inches tall, 70 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen on the 100 block of West Lanikaula Street in Hilo wearing a white/gray jacket, shorts and brown slippers.

Nowell was initially reported as a runaway but due to his age, he is considered a missing endangered child.
