Dante James Del Rosario, 63, of Kona died July 17 in Kona. Born in Hilo, he was a well-known amateur surfer and former surf contest organizer. Pule and opening ceremony 7:30 a.m. Saturday (Aug. 13) at Hilo Bayfront. Scattering of ashes to follow. Celebration of life noon Sunday (Aug. 14) at Honolii Beach Park. Itsuo Ohta, 87, of Holualoa died June 20 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kona, he was a retired painter and maintenance worker for the former Kona Surf Hotel, member of Daifukuji Soto Mission and U.S. Army veteran. Private services held. Alexander Hakaaloha Suka, 51, of Puna died July 19 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 12) at Lighthouse Outreach Hilo. Adeline Arce Quirit, 103, of Pepeekeo died July 30 at Hilo Medical Center. Born November in Caoayan, Philippines, she was a member and eucharistic minister at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and member of the Filipino Catholic Club and Sacred Heart Ladies. Private rosary and viewing 9-9:30 a.m. Monday (Aug. 15) for family at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Public visitation with eulogy 9:30-10:30 a.m. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial noon at Alae Cemetery, Section H, Row A, Plot 18.
