Bernaldo “Bernard” Bernie” Billena, 78, of Hilo died June 7 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired Hawaii County firefighter and U.S. Army Vietnam War era veteran. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Monday (July 11) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Artemia Bala Guillermo, 99, of Waimea died May 31 at North Hawaii Community Hospital.
