Alpidio Bolusan Castillo, 87, of Milolii died June 5 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Lihue, Kauai, he was a pipefitter for Alakai Plumbing, member of Internatiional Longshore and Warehouse Union and U.S. Army veteran. All-night vigil 4 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at his home at 89-1707 Milolii Government Rd. Scattering of ashes with military honors 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13 outside of Milolii. Celebration of life fellowship and music to follow at the family’s home. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Shirley Casuga of Milolii; daughters, Yvette (Dowell) Jordan of Carson, Calif., Christina (Richard) Casuga of Tacoma, Wash., and Laurie (Rashad) Casuga-Matthews of Kailua-Kona; son, Alton (Wendy) Yoshikawa of Honolulu; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews and cousins. Elmer Pasta, 80, of Hawaiian Paradise Park died June 23 at home. Born in Lorain, Ohio, he was a retired writer and merchandiser. No services. Survived by spouse, Christine Pasta of Hawaiian Paradise Park; brothers, Dave Pasta of Houston and Clifford Pasta of Washington state; stepson, Matthew Antone of Seattle; stepdaughter, Jocelin (Paul) Tara-Antone of Hilo; grandchildren; three nieces. George Hideo Sakamoto, 91, of Hilo died May 13. Born in Hilo, he was a self-employed certified public accountant, U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Hawaii Association of Public Accountants, Waiakea Lions Club, and Lower Kawailani Kumiai. Private Services held. No koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Rodney Sakamoto of Hilo and David (Gerry) Sakamoto of Honolulu; daughter, Laura (Kevin) Burke of California; sister-in-law, Thelma Sakamoto of Honolulu; caregivers, Pancho and Jayvie Sumoba, Wallace Honma; a grandchild, six step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
