Cash Anderson of Troop 82 was awarded the Eagle Scout rank on May 11 at the Boy Scout Center.

Anderson began his Scouting journey 11 years ago in Waiakeawaena Pack 65 where he also earned the Arrow of Light, the Cub Scouts’ highest award.

Anderson’s Eagle project consisted of securing funding for and building three benches for the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1182. They acquired a new clubhouse and needed seating for their members.

Anderson is a member of the University of Hawaii at Hilo Computer Science Club, Hawaii Island Fencing Association and Big Island Game Developers.

He enjoys blacksmithing, cooking and playing his various musical instruments.
