Democrats failed us

The misery that our Hawaii lawmakers have caused its citizens is just the beginning of more suffering to come.

Our Democrat Party leadership is anything but leadership and must be held accountable for the deplorable state of our local economy.

All Hawaii Democrats today need to face the reality that we are collectively responsible for the economic calamity that is unfolding here. I can find no sound economic proposals that have come from the Hawaii Democrats that would have placed Hawaii on a stable economic platform from which we could have buttressed against to arrest our economic fall.

What I observe is the pride in how much tax money is brought in through their horse-trading at the state and national levels. This only promotes dependency on tax monies to balance our state budgets. If this fails, they raise taxes on businesses with the justification that they, the government, should be paid more tax money by businesses for their privilege of having a business.

There is not even a pretense of providing more services for the businesses that are paying the increased taxes.

I urge all Hawaii citizens to hold Democrats accountable for the past, present and future suffering that the Democrats are the cause of.

As to the citizens of Hawaii, we are responsible for continuing to vote for Democrats who haven’t a clue on what a healthy economy looks like, what the metrics to determine its trajectory are, and how to achieve this. If you doubt this, next time you talk to a Democrat, ask them.

Abortion debate

With the leaked draft from the U.S. Supreme Court ruling against abortion, the question is: “Is abortion a right, and is it constitutional?”

In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled abortion “legal.” But according to the Constitution, namely the Declaration of Independence, everyone, including an unborn baby, is “… endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Therefore Roe vs. Wade was faulty and purely unconstitutional. Besides, court justices are not doctors nor trained in science and biology.

Who gets to say whether abortion is legal? The Constitution says that the legislative body of Congress makes laws, not the Supreme Court.

Science will affirm that life begins at conception. And that person, according to our Constitution, has rights.

According to the Bible, life is determined by God. A woman does not have a right to her own body, especially of a new life that she brings into this world.

Only God determines who lives and who dies.
