Hugh Emmet Andrews, 77, of Hilo died Dec. 19, 2021, in Costa Mesa, Calif. Born in Hilo, he was a former machinist for Momac Products and a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Cora M. Nakamoto Suyan, 76, of Galveston, Texas, died Jan. 19. Born in Honokaa and raised in Waimea, she was a certified nursing assistant. Private services held. Survived by husband, Marcelo; daughter, Lisa (Kui); son, Brian; brothers, Francis (Dorothy), Clarence (Velma) and Richard (Kehaulani); sister, Bertha (Itsuo); three grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Yoshio Yamasaki, 86, of Hilo died April 10 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired state tax auditor, member of Hawaii Government Employees Association and avid golfer. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Sunday (May 1) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Private urn committal services at a later date. Casual attire; no flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughter, Jacqueline (Calvin) Yagi of Hilo; sister, Chizuko Harada of Hilo; brother-in-law, Thomas Hahn of Honolulu; a grandson, two granddaughters and a great-grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins.
