Halau O Kekuhi, under the direction of na kumu hula Nalani Kanaka’ole and Huihui Kanahele Mossman, perform during the Merrie Monarch Festival’s Wednesday night Ho’ike.

Also performing were the Lexington Ladies and Heiva Nui under the direction of Kevin and ‘Auli’i Kama.

Ten wahine dancers will compete tonight for the title of Miss Aloha Hula. The Royal Court enters Edith Kanaka’ole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo at 6 p.m. and the competition begins at 6:30 p.m.
