Steven “Uncle Steve” Gregory Abreu, 80, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 27 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Eleele, Kauai, he was a retired carpenter, fisherman, waterman, former member of Kai ‘Opua Canoe Club and Waikiki Beachboy. Paddle-out scattering of ashes 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 27 at Laaloa, also known as White Sands Beach. Celebration of life immediately to follow. Survived by daughter, Stephanie Robinson-Boisse of California; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Sharon Lynn Daluson, 78, of Hilo died Feb. 12 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in California, she was a property manager. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Sunday, March 20 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Roberta Lee De Mello, 66, of Captain Cook died Feb. 10 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was the former director of nursing at Kona Community Hospital, a Hilo High School graduate, a member and assisted in the Children’s Ministry at Kona Faith Center. Carl Frederick Keeaumoku Pond Sr., 75, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 23 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired engineer for Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, security and maintenance worker for the former Kona Hilton and U.S. Army veteran. Private service at a later date. Ryan Craig “RC” Starrett, 32, of Keaau died Jan. 15, 2021.
