UPDATE: Police said Wednesday that 15-year-old Moanikeala Liwai, who was previously reported as a runaway, was found Tuesday in Puna in good health.

PREVIOUSLY:

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding two Puna teens who were last seen Sunday in Hawaiian Paradise Park and reported as runaways in separate incidents.

Sixteen-year-old Shayla Smith-Akiona of Keaau is described as 5-feet-5-inches tall, 117 pounds, with a medium build, long straight black hair and brown eyes. Smith-Akiona has a tattoo of a flower on her left ankle.

When last seen, she was wearing blue jeans, a black and white hoodie, blue shoes and carrying a blue backpack.

Fifteen-year-old Moanikeala Liwai is described as 5-feet-8-inches tall, 120 pounds, with black hair with purple highlights and brown eyes. She has a “Hello Kitty” tattoo on her left ankle and a septum-style nose piercing.

When last seen, she was wearing blue jeans, a dark colored hoodie, and white shoes.

Meanwhile, police report that 14-year-old Tyra Dalija-Airinios, who was reported as a runaway on Feb. 12, was located in Pahoa in good health.

Anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of either girl is asked to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
