Ann Phillips Roney, 87, of Hilo died Dec 27 at home. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was a medical technologist for the former Kaiser Hospital in Honolulu and Kohala Hospital, the former Honokaa Hospital, Ka‘u Hospital, and Hilo Medical Group, Realtor for Day-Lum Realty, member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Hilo Yacht Club, volunteer for Friends of the Children’s Justice Center and Friends of the Library and avid tennis player. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 4) at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Face masks and social distancing required.
