A Puna couple have been charged for a Tuesday incident in Hawaiian Acres involving a stolen Toyota pickup truck and possession of methamphetamine and ammunition, according to county Prosecutor Kelden Waltjen.

Justin Flores, 39, was charged with auto theft, prohibited possession of ammunition and illegally carrying ammunition and driving without a license. His bail was set at $37,000.

According to Waltjen, Flores is on felony probation for previous convictions auto theft and promoting a dangerous drug and faces revocation of that probation, as well.

Kawai Keiori Kahee is charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Her bail was set at $2,000.

Both were set to make initial appearances Thursday in Hilo District Court.
