Torres-Costa holding 1-day camp

Former professional pitcher Quintin Torres-Costa will hold a pitching and throwing camp Friday at Walter Victor complex at cost of $20.

One-hour time slots are available at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.

For more information, contact Quintin Torres-Costa, a former pitcher for Waiakea and the University of Hawaii who rose to Triple-A ball in the minors, at 430-2100.

Honokaa High seeks coaches

Honokaa High is accepting applications for head coaches for baseball and softball.

Applications will be available at the main office during school hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The deadline to apply is Friday.
