Renfred Reginald Beaumont, 69, of Volcano died Sept. 14 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a professional musician, a founding member of the group Olomana, retired U.S Navy lieutenant commander and loved motorcycle road racing and the ocean. Private services held. Survived by son, Wren Evans and daughter, Tiera-Lyn Kehaulani Kahapea-Zablan. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Harriet “Leina” Leinaala Chow, 84, of Pahoa died Aug. 16 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired baker for Island Naturals in Pahoa and member of Puna Canoe Club. Drive-thru visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 16) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel carport. Please remain in car. Face masks and social distancing required. Dr. Robert Alan “Bob” Fox, 78, of Hilo died Oct. 1 at home. Born in Portland, Ore., and raised in New York City, he was a professor emeritus of physics and longtime chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department at University of Hawaii at Hilo, founding deputy director of the Pacific International Space Center for Exploration Studies, member of Rotary Club of Hilo, the Hilo Yacht Club, National Education Association, American Educational Research Association and the Wine Connection, elected member of the Hawaii State Board of Education (1992-96), board member of numerous community organizations, and author of two books and numerous professional publications. Survived by wife and partner, Dr. Nina Buchanan; son, Jordan; two grandchildren. Celebration of life 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel.
