Patricia Eileen (Pacheco) Calicdan, 78, of Sun Valley Nev., formerly of Hilo, died Aug. 20 at home. Born in Pepeekeo, was an antique collector. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by husband, John Calicdan Sr. of Sun Valley; sons, John Calicdan Jr. of Oakland, Calif., and Jeremy (Arlette) Calicdan of Sun Valley; daughter, Wendy (Rick) Calicdan of Pepeekeo; hanai daughter Jennifer Calicdan of Sun Valley; brothers-in-law, Segundo Calicdan Jr. of Hilo and Abraham Lagadon of Pahoa; sistera-in-law, Mary Jane (Jim) Peleholani of Hilo, Lillian (David) Soares of Honolulu, Susan Calicdan of Hilo and Loryn (Eric) Rouelle of Waikoloa; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alberto “Teg” Helliangao Sr., 90, of Hilo died Aug. 13 at home. Born in Pahala, he was a member of the Hawaii Laborers Union and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service/celebration of life at 10:30 a.m. Face masks and social distancing required. Urn committal with military honors at noon at Hawaii Veteran Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Survived by wife, Itoe Helliangao of Hilo; son, Alberto “JoJo” Hellianga, Jr. of Hawaii; sisters, Patsy Asejo of Honolulu and Beatrice Ganzagan of Waipahu, Oahu; caregiver/granddaughter, Cheliette (Reggie) Conarton of Pahoa; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Asako Miyamoto, 92, of Hilo died Aug. 28 at a care home in Hilo. Born in Paauilo, she was a member of Panaewa Kumiai. Private services held. Survived by children, Florence Simms of Milwaukee, Michael Miyamoto of Las Vegas and Lillian (Hal) Kamigaki of Hilo; brother, Larry Araki of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Kathleen Araki of Hilo; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Lisa Ann Mehealani Ueno, 54, of Hilo died Aug. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she worked for the former Oceanic Time Warner Cable. Private services. Survived by children, Tiana Hirota and Brayden Ueno; parents, Malani Holt and Edward Uratani; siblings, Eddie Uratani and Christy Holt-Mizuguchi; a grandson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
