Bronson Klein, 18, Caide Malani, 18, Adam Sako, 17, and Gerald Santiago, 18, of Scouts BSA (formally Boy Scouts of America) Troop 95 were presented the organization’s highest rank of Eagle Scout during a Court of Honor held in August.
Klein’s Eagle Scout Project involved planting 750 Native Hawaiian Saplings at the Hakalau Forest Reserve. He graduated from Waiakea High School and will be attending San Diego State University in the fall. He is the son of Karie Klein.
Malani’s Eagle Scout Project consisted of reroofing the two baseball dugouts at Hualani Park in Keaukaha. A graduate of Kamehameha School, Malani will be attending Hawaii Community College in the fall. He is the son of Alex Kelepolo and Bronson Malani.
Sako’s Eagle Scout Project consisted of planting a Cycad Garden at the entrance to Panaewa Zoo. He will be a Senior at Christian Liberty Academy. Sako was Student Council President and active in school activities and sports. He is the son of Rodney and Deanna Sako.
Santiago’s Eagle Scout Project involved the assembly and installation of three benches at Lili‘uokalani Gardens. He is a graduate of Waiakea High School and will be attending the University of Hawaii at Hilo in the fall. Santiago is the son of Gerald Santiago and Dawn Santiago.
BSA Troop 95 Scout Master is Derrick Izumo and assistants are Cooper Nakayama and Reushing Peng.
