Dorothy Ah Sing, 94, of Hilo, died July 2 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a a retired sales clerk for the former Liberty House, sales clerk for the former Koehnen’s Interiors and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Private services held. Survived by sons, William (Patricia) Ah Sing of Hilo and Gary (Beverly) Ah Sing of Gardena, Calif.; daughter, Dawn Ah Sing of Hilo; sisters, Shirley Cecconi of Tennessee and Rose Marie Martines of Honolulu; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Arnold Akau Sr., 68, of Waimea died June 13 at home. He was a retired business owner and welder/foreman for Parker Ranch. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at the Akau family ranch on Pa ‘akai Nui Alanui in Pu‘ukapu. Follow the signs from Kuhio Village in Waimea. Patrick John Lawrence, 69, of Honomu died July 11 at Hilo Medical Center, Born in Hilo, he was owner of P. Lawrence Contracting and member of KIAA, Hawaii Transportation Association and Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Honomu, and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran. Visitation 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Face masks and social distancing required. Pilar “Pi” Llantero Ucol, 82, of Keaau died July 14 at home. Born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she worked for Diamond Head Papaya Co.
