George Francis Acia III, 64, of Waimea died May 7, 2020. Born in California, he was a tile setter who enjoyed family camping and fishing trips. Service 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Alae Cemetery. Celebration of life 1-7 p.m. at Onekahakaha Beach Park pavilions six and seven. Face masks and social distancing required. Survived by wife, Alita Acia; sons, Gary Gouveia, Joshua Acia, Kaleo Navas-Clark, Hunter Acia and Jordan Acia; daughters, Angela Gouveia-Trimm, Christina Acia, Wendy Navas, Kristy Acia and Jenna Acia; brothers, Dominic Acia, Paul Rodrigues and Peter Rodrigues; sisters, Georgeann Flemmings, Louise Perez, Christina Acia and Beatrice Daijogo; 13 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Lily Maliikapu, 60, of Kealakekua died April 24 at the family home in Mauka Kahaluu, Kona. Born in Kealakekua, she was a former employee of KTA Super Stores and McDonald’s, and housekeeper for King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. Private services. Sauron Mina-Palacio-Yamamoto, 7 days old, of Hilo died April 28 at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu. Private services. Ernest “Scrape” Kealii‘akaahiki Thomas, 91, of Laupahoehoe died April 25 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Waipio Valley, he was a retired boiler operator and supervisor for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., musician and original member of Alfred’s Dance Band, Fabian’s, and the Hamakua County Band, a founding member of Laupahoehoe Hawaiian Civic Club, boxer, league bowler and self-taught carpenter.
