Gerald “Jerry” Anthony Boteilho, 75, of Waimea died March 27 in Honolulu. Born in Makawao, Maui, he was a retired state heavy equipment operator, member of Annunciation Catholic Church, California Polytechnic State University and U.S. Navy veteran. Private services. Survived by wife, Valerie Boteilho of Waimea; daughter, Leah Boteilho of Mililani, Oahu, son, Chad Boteilho of Nuuanu; brothers, Edward (Myra) Boteilho of Kohala, Stanley (Carmela) Boteilho of Kalopa, Franklin (Paula) Boteilho of Kona, Wayne (Iris) Boteilho of Paauilo and James (Darla) Boteilho of Hilo, sister, Joanne (Manfred) Branco of Ahualoa; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Franklin “Patch” Dacanay, 75, of Hilo died March 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Olaa, he was retired from the county Wastewater Division, biker and former president of the Aliis Motorcycle Club, hunter and fisherman, and U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran awarded the Purple Heart with Gold Star. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday (May 8) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Committal service 9 a.m. Monday, May 10, at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Seating is limited, face masks and social distancing required. Casual attire. Raymundo Jimeno Josue, 93, of Hilo died April 10 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Manila, Philippines, he was a carpenter and worked for Oshiro Tofu Products. Angelina “Angie” Ann Lawrence, 87, of Hilo, formerly Paauilo, died Feb. 24 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Kona, she was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Visitation 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday (May 8, 2021) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Claude Martel, 76, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, died April 17, 2021 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Quebec City, Canada on September 9, 1944, he was a videographer for the Canadian Broadcasting Company. Services will be held. He is survived by his wife, Hermelita Martel of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Marie-Claude (Robert Maurice) Martel and Eveline Martel, both of Montreal, Canada; brother, Marcel (Rejeanne) Martel of Quebec; sisters, Aline (Rejean) Boudreau and Liz Martel, all of Quebec, Canada; stepson, Eric Corrales and extended family in the Philippines; 5 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
