Richard Yasuo Hori Sr., 88, of Kohala died March 21 at home. Born in Kohala, he was an owner and baker for the former Holy’s Bakery in Manoa, Oahu, and Duty Free Shop on Oahu. No services. Vladimir Borisovich Skorikov, Ph.D., 61, of Hilo died Feb. 21 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Moscow, he was a professor of psychology at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, published papers on developmental psychology, career development and research methodology and was a world traveler who enjoyed skiing, tennis, swimming, entertaining, grilling and working on home projects and his garden.
