Malama Market Pahoa opened Wednesday morning after a private blessing ceremony for the employees.

Hundreds of people stood in line to shop and see what the new store had to offer. Many people got lunch, explored the different areas of the store, chatted with employees and reveled in the size of the store.

Malama Market will be open daily from 6 a.m.-9 p.m. in the Puna Kai Shopping Center.
