Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying two men they say were recently captured on video surveillance making charges on stolen credit cards at a Hilo business.
The incident stems from a motor vehicle break-in that occurred March 11 near Onomea Bay in Papaikou. Officers responded at 12:45 p.m. on a report that multiple vehicles had been broken into, with several items taken.
The stolen items included backpacks, purses, wallets, personal identification cards, credit cards, a MacBook computer, an Apple iPhone, two Apple iPads and articles of clothing.
One of the stolen credit cards was used at a retail store in Hilo, police said, and video surveillance captured the users, police said. Both are described as men in their 20s with brown hair. One has a Mohawk-style haircut.
