Lawrence (Larry) Alexander, 92, of Hilo died Feb. 11 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Los Angeles, he was a retired teacher from Hilo High School, sailor, and builder/operator of the Dolphin Bay Hotel in Hilo. Celebration of life at a later date. Alfredo Vergara Asprer Sr., 75, of Ocean View died Feb. 8 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Manila, Philippines, he was a retired laundry washer from the Orchid at Mauna Lani and North Hawaii Community Hospital and a papaya farmer. Services at a later date. Daniel Kekuhio Haleakala Keliiaa Jr., 56, of Kealakekua died Jan. 12 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale.
