Franklin “Frank” David Holden, 66, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 29, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Chicago, he was a retired electronics engineer, open water scuba instructor and certified cave diver. No services. Survived by sisters, Sherry (Fred) LaCorte of California and Janet (Mike Young) Holden-Young of Kailua-Kona; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty Mae Cabral Oliveira, 88, of Hilo died Jan. 26 in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired teacher from Hilo High School and member of the Hawaii Island Retired Teachers and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Section 2. Face masks and social distancing required. Survived by sons, Darryl Jon (Janice) Oliveria of Hilo and Timothy (Shellie) Oliveira of Colorado; daughter, Amelia (Warren) Shaw of Waimea; sister, Lorina Springer of Hilo; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
