Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center together with the Hawaii County Bar Association invites the public to support its 15th Annual Recognition Dinner & Auction.

This year, Ku’ikahi will presents the Peacemaker Award to Brandee Menino of HOPE Services Hawaii, Paul Normann of Neighborhood Place of Puna and Sharon Hirota of the County of Hawaii. The Bar Association will honor attorney Ted H.S. Hong.

A virtual tribute video will be shared online Sunday, Nov. 15, highlighting these honorees. To prevent more “Zoom fatigue,” this video can be viewed at your convenience, on your schedule, and shared liberally.

“While we regret that we cannot host an in-person celebratory Recognition Dinner & Auction, we still believe it is important to honor leaders who have served our community in these trying times, especially our three housing heroes,” said Ku‘ikahi Executive Director Julie Mitchell.

Founded in 1983, Ku‘ikahi has been “Finding Solutions, Growing Peace” for 37 years. This annual fundraiser and recognition dinner provides a significant portion of the funds the mediation center needs to provide free and low-cost dispute prevention and resolution services in East Hawaii.

“Our mission is to empower people to come together — to talk and to listen, to explore options and to find their own best solutions,” said Ku‘ikahi President Cheryl Matsumura. “Your support helps make this mission a reality. Please join me in being a partner for peace.”
