Julia Huilana Bailado, 86, of Honaunau died Oct. 20 at Straub Clinic and Hospital. Born in Ookala, she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, UE Club and Kona Kupuna Club. Services at a later date. Survived by daughters, Laveinia (Harry) Respicio of Hilo and Sorania (Gene) Miller of Honaunau; sons, Emelio (Guti) Bailado Jr. of Germany, Jeffrey Bailado of Honaunau, Darryl (Mercy) Bailado of Wahiawa, Oahu, and Curtis Bailado of Honaunau; sisters, Linda Molina of Pahoa, Mattie Alcoran and Blosom (Robert) Traeger of Kailua-Kona; brother, Pedro (Jamie) Barawis of Ocean View; sisters-in-law, Rose Eugenio of Maui, Cecelia (Harry) Plekavic of Chicago, Mildred Bailado of Paauilo and Dorothy Leong of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Chris (Lorraine) Bailado of Hilo; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Nicholas Luis Berido, 64, of Keaau died Oct. 8 at Kaiser Hospital-Moanalua. Born in Hilo, he was a carpenter and member of Sure Foundation Church. Services at a later date. Survived by spouse, Velma Berido of Keaau; daughter, Daysha (Marvis) Bush of Oahu; stepsons, John Tavares of Pahoa, Michael Tavares of Hilo and David Tavares of Everette, Wash.; father, Emilio L. Berido of Keaau; sisters, Rosaline (Burt) Takata and Sandra Berido of Pahoa and Gale Rosa of Hilo; brothers, Clayton Berido of Captain Cook, Hilton Berido of Hilo, Neal Nitta of Kihei, Maui; hanai brother, Larry Galario of Pahoa; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ina Heide Koch, 78, of Captain Cook died Oct. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Germany, she was a ceramicist and member of the Society for Kona’s Education and Art. Services at a later date. Survived by hanai daughter, Keahi Kapela; four hanai grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Keith Ka‘iwi Lupenui, 54, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 19 in Waimea. No services. Survived by parents, Michael and Betty Lupenui; children, Maoli and Kapo Lupenui; brothers, Mark K. (Cheryl) Lupenui and Christian K. (Dayna) Lupenui; one grandson. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Junko Ida Nowaki, 80, of Hilo died Oct. 21 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired librarian at the Edward H. Mookini Library at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and member of the Hilo Orchid Society. Services pending. Survived by daughters, Roanne Nowaki, Rochelle Nowaki and Rowena Nowaki of Hilo; brother, Wayne (Patricia Miyata) Higa of Mountlake Terrace, Wash.; sisters, Pauline Nagara of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Virginia Goldstein of Volcano; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert (Edna) Nowaki of Hilo; sister-in-law, Helen Nakamura of Hilo; nieces, nephews and cousins.
