The Department of Health said that, as of noon Monday, there are 42 new cases of COVID-19 reported statewide and no new reported deaths from coronavirus-related illness.
That brings the statewide total of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began to 13,514 and the statewide death toll remains at 169.
Of the new cases 37 were in the City and County of Honolulu, bringing Oahu’s case total to 12.068.
The other five cases are in Hawaii County, bringing the Big Island’s total case number to 953.
Hawaii County Civil Defense said this morning there are currently nine people hospitalized on Hawaii Island with coronavirus-related illness, and so far, 37 coronavirus-related deaths have occurred on the Big Island.
Neither Maui nor Kauai counties reported any new cases, and their case totals remain at 397 and 59, respectively.
There have been 37 cases of Hawaii residents reportedly diagnosed with COVID-19 while out of state.
Statewide, 939 cases have required hospitalization, and 10,781 individuals have been released from isolation as “recovered.”
Free public coronavirus testing is scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Prince Kuhio Plaza parking lot in Hilo.
Those with health insurance who are are asked to bring their insurance cards with them. There will be no co-pay required.
