Elizabeth “Gigi” Leialoha Toribio, 83, of Hilo died Aug. 26 at home. Born in Wailuku, Maui, she was a tour escort for a travel agency and member of the Berean Bible Church. Born in Hilo, he was a retired assistant chief for Hawaii Police Department, disc jockey at the former KIPA radio U.S. Air Force veteran, director of airport security for the former Wackenhut, director of Transportation Security Administration at Hilo International Airport, director of security at Port of Hilo, former chairman of the county Board of Ethics and Police Commission. Steven Michael Wesolowski, 61, of Pahoa died June 13 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center in Hilo. Born in Pennsylvania, he was a general contractor and CEO of Southwest Costume Concepts LLC, Knight of Columbus of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and created and donated the St. Mary statue in front of the church in Prescott Valley, Ariz.
