The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists of traffic changes during ongoing road work, weather permitting:

Hilo

• Alternating single-lane closure of Hawaii Belt Road (Highway 19) in both directions between mile markers 2 and 3 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for paving.

• A full closure of a section of Brigg Road fronting the Foreign Trade Zone building in both directions from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. now through Friday, Sept. 18, for water line installation. Road users can access Brigg Road past the Foreign Trade Zone building via Railroad Avenue.

Puna

• A 24-hour-a-day lane shift on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Highway 130) in both directions between Ilima Street and Ainaloa Boulevard from Saturday through Friday for construction of Ainaloa roundabout.

• Alternating single-lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road in both directions between Ainaloa Drive and Alaili Road from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for landscape maintenance.

• Alternating single-lane closure on Keaau-Pahoa Road in both directions between Kahakai Boulevard and Leilani Avenue from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for paving.

Hamakua

Single-lane closure on Honokaa-Waipio Road (Highway 240) in both directions between mile markers 6 and 8 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for landscape maintenance.

Kohala

• Alternating single-lane closure on Kawaihae Road (Highway 19) in both directions between mile markers 64 and 66 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for landscape maintenance.

Ka‘u

•Alternating single-lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 11) in both directions between mile markers 28 and 32 from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for paving.

• Alternating single-lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway in both directions between mile markers 66.5 and 68 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for landscape maintenance.

Kona

• A 24-hour-a-day alternating single-lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway in both directions between mile markers 100 and 101 from Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for culvert repair.

• Alternating single-lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Highway 11) in both directions between Kahoolele Street and Hualalai Road from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Friday, Sept. 4, for landscaping.

• Alternating single-lane closure on Kuakini Highway in both directions between mile markers 117 and 119 from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for traffic camera installation and paving.
