Premiere Medical Group performed an additional 151 COVID-19 tests Saturday during a second round of testing related to a positive case at Liberty Dialysis in Hilo earlier this month.

Dr. Kaohimanu Dang Akiona, Hawaii County medical director for Premier Medical, said some patients, patient transporters and a handful of Liberty Dialysis employees were tested, along with other members of the community.

Akiona said there have been no additional cases directly related to Liberty Dialysis. There were, however, two positive results in family members related to the clinic employee initially diagnosed with the virus.

Another 179 people were tested last week, and a third round of testing in response to the Liberty Dialysis case is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. today at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
