DOH: 140 new COVID-19 cases reported statewide, 3 new deaths

The state Department of Health reported 14- new COVID-19 cases today. That raises the overall statewide total to 3,638.

Today’s new cases include 138 on Oahu and one each on Maui and Kauai, according to DOH.

There are also three new deaths, bring the total of coronavirus-related fatalities to 34. No information on those deaths have yet been released.

Hawaii County Civil Defense said this morning that there are 15 active Big Island cases.

The overall statewide case total includes 3,111 on Oahu, 186 in Maui County, 131 in Hawaii County, and 49 in Kauai County, according to health officials.

The total also includes 23 Hawaii residents diagnosed outside of the state.

According to DOH, 242 cases, about 7% have required hospitalization.

As of today, 1,586 patients now classified as “released from isolation.”
