DOH reports one new COVID-19 case on Oahu, statewide cases now at 635

One new case of COVID-19, on Oahu, was reported today by the state Department of Health, bringing the statewide total number of cases to 635.

The new case brings the City and County of Honolulu case count to 411.

Hawaii County remains at 75 cases, with all cases having now been cleared medically and no active cases remaining on the Big Island.

Both Maui and Kauai counties also report new cases, and their case totals remain 117 and 21, respectively.

Hawaii’s statewide case total include 11 residents diagnosed outside the state.

The statewide death toll from coronavirus-related illness remains at 17, with 11 on Oahu and six on Maui. That’s a 2.7% fatality rate for the state.

Cases statewide that required hospitalization number 81, or 12.75% of total cases.

There have been 563 cases, or 88.7%, that have been released from isolation, according to DOH.
