DOH reports 13 new COVID-19 cases, statewide total is 530

The state Department of Health reports 13 new cases of COVID-19 today, making the total number of reported cases statewide 530.

The City and County of Honolulu has the most reported cases, 369. Maui County is next, with 92, Hawaii County has 41 and Kauai County, 21, according to DOH.

One case is pending county identification.

Six Hawaii residents were diagnosed outside Hawaii, but are reported as Hawaii cases.

According to DOH, 45 cases required hospitalization and 359 people were released from isolation after contracting the virus.

The statewide death toll stands at nine, all on Oahu or Maui.

The Hawaii County total is one more case than reported earlier today by Hawaii County. According to county Civil Defense, 29 of those individuals have been “cleared and recovered,” and the remaining 11 are quarantined at home and being monitored by DOH.
