County reports 21 cases of COVID-19 on Big Island; 11 have recovered

Hawaii County Civil Defense reports this morning that 21 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus on Hawaii Island.

That number is six cases higher than the number reported Tuesday by the state Department of Health.

According to the county, 11 of those individuals have recovered and the remaining 10 are quarantined at home with Department of Health monitoring.

At this date for Hawaii Island, no one that has been infected by the virus had to be hospitalized.
