The wet weather continues to hamper UH-Hilo athletics, suspending a baseball game and forcing the softball team back to Kailua-Kona.

The Vulcans’ baseball game Wednesday night against Azusa Pacific at Wong Stadium was suspended by rain, and the teams will try to resume the contest at 3 p.m. Thursday with the Cougars leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fourth. After that one is completed, the schools will try to play the second game of the four-game set.

UH-Hilo’s softball team is headed to Kealakehe High for the third time this week, taking on Concordia in a 10 a.m. Thursday doubleheader.

The site and time for Friday’s doubleheader will be determined Thursday.
