Hilo seeks coaches for volleyball, football; volleyball deadline Friday

Hilo High is looking for a head girls volleyball coach and a head football coach, and applications can be picked up at the school’s main office or gym office.

The deadline to apply for the volleyball position is Friday. The deadline to apply for the football position is March 27.

Business Canoe Regatta is April 5

Kamehameha Canie Club will hold its 37th annual Business Canoe Regatta, starting at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 5.

This event features 11 divisions of six-person teams, ranging from business, intermediate or open women, men or mixed. Entry fee is $130 per crew if received by March 26. Late entries will be at $185.

Hole-in-one

Virgil Inocencio made a hole-in-one earlier this year while playing with The BlackDog Golf Club, using a 5-iron to ace the 177-yard 10th hole at Hilo Municipal Golf Course.
